JANUARY 3, 2024 – Agua Plus is excited to announce the Company’s sponsorship of the highly anticipated West Indies Cricket Legends Weekend, slated to take place between January 19th and 21st in Lauderhill, Florida. This momentous event is set to honor and celebrate the iconic achievements of cricket legends Lawrence Rowe, Gary Sobers, Chris Gayle, and Brian Lara. We’re sparking the passion for cricket in the next generation while honoring these awe-inspiring cricket titans!
The event is taking place to honor Lawrence Rowe on his 75th birthday in recognition of the 50th anniversary of his epic triple century in Barbados. It is being held by the Lawrence Rowe Legendary Cricket Foundation. The foundation, spearheaded by Rowe himself, focuses on nurturing cricket talent, engaging communities, developing infrastructure, and providing educational opportunities for aspiring cricketers. It aims to foster a love for cricket while promoting values like teamwork and discipline among youth.
Each of these players are legends in their own rights, but collectively, they are the only four cricket players in the West Indies to have ever achieved a triple century in a One Day International.
Lawrence Rowe is a cricketing maestro from Jamaica. Lawrence is one of four cricketers in the West Indies to ever hit over 300 runs in Test cricket. He made an unforgettable entrance onto the international scene in the 1970s. His debut Test series against New Zealand in 1972 was nothing short of extraordinary. His exceptional talent shone brightly as he achieved a double century and another century in the two matches. This historic accomplishment marked him as the first cricketer ever to achieve such a feat in their debut series.

The day starts with a star-studded T10 celebrity match, followed by a captivating T20 format clash between 22 Yards and Lawrence Rowe’s team, expected to draw a crowd of 5,000 fervent cricket fans!
