Juwan Howard’s 313 Youth Clinic: A Heartfelt Day of Giving Back to Detroit
AUGUST 9, 2023 – The remarkable Juwan Howard’s 313 Youth Clinic took place on August 4th at Detroit Renaissance High School and Agua Plus was proud to partner and take part in this incredible free community event that was aimed at inspiring and empowering boys entering grades 1 to 6 through sports and mentorship.
The collaboration demonstrated the brand’s commitment to partnering with our Agua Plus ambassadors in the community and encouraging proper hydration through sports and education. By providing our premium alkaline water at the event, Agua Plus added a refreshing touch to the day’s activities, ensuring the kids & coaches stayed hydrated and energized throughout the morning.
The day was not only about teaching basketball moves and positions but also emphasized the importance of hard work, both on and off the court. Moreover, the event served as a testament to Juwan Howard’s dedication to giving back to his community. He took the opportunity to address the kids directly, stressing the importance of hard work and dedication in every aspect of life. He emphasized the significance of working hard at school, as well as on the court, and how both aspects are interlinked to achieving greatness.
He finished his encouragement by saying “We’re gonna play some basketball, we’re gonna learn a lot, we’re gonna have some fun, but most importantly we are honored to be working with you”
Derrick Coleman, founder of DC Elite, even attended; partnering with Juwan to give back to the kids of Detroit through the sport that has given them so much.

Towards the end of the clinic, there was also a great and interactive Q&A session where the young budding athletes eagerly asked questions, seeking advice and inspiration. The openness and approachability of both Juwan and the other coaches left a lasting impression on the kids, encouraging them to dream big and pursue their passions.
As participants arrived at the clinic, they were greeted by the Agua Plus team, who offered them bottles of our alkaline water. Juwan Howard and Derrick Coleman both expressed their gratitude for the support, emphasizing that events like these were all about giving back to the kids. They reminded the young hopeful athletes that success is attainable through dedication and hard work.
